Baby Cakes {a finished quilt!}
Well, so far my record for the 10 in 10 challenge is 3 and 0! I have finished my charity quilt that I'm calling Baby Cakes. Pink and purple are not "my" colors, but I'm sure that there is a local foster girl out there who loves them :)
The quilting is a small loopy meander that was quick and easy to finish up.
And I just love the crinkly texture it creates after washing (not to mention the fresh smell of fabric softener that goes along with it...one of my all time favorite things). For the back I chose the same sunny yellow fabric that I used on the back of the Swoon quilt and it goes perfectly with this line as well.
Quilt Stats:
- Size: Approx. 44” x 51” after washing and drying
- Pattern: My own design
- Fabric: partial layer cake of Moda’s Simply Style
- Thread: Aurifil 50 wt. 2021 (my go-to!)
Now let's see if I can get my other WIP from Wednesday done yet today...the weekend's not over yet!
