Happy Geese {a new quilt pattern and a chance to take a class with me!!}
If you follow me in Instagram (@materialgirlquilts), you have probably already seen this quilt top. But today I'm here to formally introduce you to Happy Geese!
I designed this quilt last year and have been hoarding saving some Happy Go Lucky penny dots especially for it. I think these dots are the absolute best dots ever in fabric! And of course I also had to use the white on white dots for the background. I love how they look like a solid from a distance, but up close you see the adorable dot detail.
So, with the fabric coming from Bonnie & Camille's Happy Go Lucky line and just the fact that these colors make me "happy", I decided to name this quilt Happy Geese. It finishes at 60" x 72" which is perfect for snuggling under on the couch.
I haven't had time to quilt it yet, so if you have any fantastic ideas for me, please share!
The most exciting thing about this new quilt is that I have FINALLY put together my first "official" quilt pattern! You can purchase this pattern in a PDF downloadable format from my shop or on Craftsy. And better yet, if you are local, I will be teaching a class on Happy Geese at Crimson Tate in downtown Indianapolis in June. You can check out their class schedule here for all of the details and to sign up. I hope to see some of you there and get to know my local sewing peeps a bit better.
I'm excited about this pattern and if all goes well, I hope to be able to offer many more in the future. Thanks so much for following along and supporting me in my journey :)
