Cute and easy bow-tie

Happy Friday all!!!  I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted anything.  Summer sure has kept me busy :)  Today I'm sharing a fun little finish with you.  My son asked me to make him a bow tie to wear to church last Sunday, and honestly, how could I resist such a fun request?!?  So while he and my hubby were watching a movie on Saturday night I whipped up this cutie. bow tie

Didn't it turn out great?  This fabric is one of my all time favorites and it is a DS Quilts print that I purchased at Jo-Ann's a while ago.  I used this tutorial by Kelsey of Vanilla Joy.  And it really was fast and easy.  The thing that took the longest for me was turning the long strap that I made to fasten the tie right side out...3/4" wide and about 18" long fabric tube, not the simplest thing to turn, but I did it!

And here is my sweet boy proudly wearing it on Sunday morning :)  Makes a Mommy's heart melt for sure!

Sam tie

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda
