Emma & Myrtle's Farmhouse {a finished quilt!}
As I was looking through my Instagram photos, I realized that I haven't shared this quilt on my blog. It's so easy to post a quick photo on Instagram and not take the time to write a blog post, but I really do love posting here as well. It's like a journal of my quilting adventures, and so much fun for me to revisit from time to time :) The super sweet Amanda Jean of Crazy Mom Quilts was kind enough to send me fat quarters from her latest collection, Emma & Myrtle, over the summer. I love how the low volumes play so well with the pastels and the pop of red in this collection. I slightly altered Jera Brandvig's Farmhouse pattern from the book we contributed to 75 Fun Fat Quarter Quilts. I think it was the perfect pattern choice for these prints.
I especially love the plaid as the binding.
I kept it simple with the quilting and did my usual straight lines with Aurifil 50 wt. 2021 white thread.
This quilt has now been gifted to an adorable 3 year old girl for her big girl bed and I hope she loves to snuggle it as much as I loved making it :)
If you'd like a bundle of this fabric for yourself, you can purchase it from Connecting Threads. They offer some cute fabrics for great prices.
