Great Granny Table Topper

It was so much fun to quilt along with Lori Holt and so many others in the Great Granny Along.  Since I have so many other projects yet to finish, I decided to make my Great Granny a table topper.

These blocks were fun to make and Lori's tutorial was very easy to follow.  I decided to quilt this one in the ditch only because I didn't really want to have a lot of quilting on the print fabrics with white thread.

All of the fabric for the top and binding came from my stash.  The backing fabric is a piece of light blue viole that I inherited from my husband's grandmother when she passed.  I'm happy with the way it turned out...and as I told my husband...no money out of my pocket to make this one :)

Fabric wasn't the only thing that his Grandmother blessed me with, check out this gorgeous sewing machine!  It was working when we received it, but shortly after the belt broke.  It needs some work, but I still love it.

Hope you all have a great week.
