Wonderful weekend

Happy Monday all!  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend (and Thanksgiving for those of you in Canada :)).  I had a wonderful weekend with my family and friends.  Saturday I spent the entire day with my boys and we ended the day with our friends from church.  I am so blessed to have them all in my life.  Yesterday was a great day (even though it's much colder than I like for October around here).  In case you didn't already know, I'm a huge Indianapolis Colts fan and we had a big game yesterday against the Green Bay Packers.  One of the reason's it was a big game is because our new head coach, Chuck Pagano, was diagnosed last week with Leukemia.  Thankfully it is a treatable form and they expect him to eventually recover.  So for our now rookie team without their head coach, this was going to be a real test...and against the Packers no less.  As you can see, we were pumped at our house when kickoff time came around.  Sam had his helmet on (just in case they needed him to to jump in the game you know!)

And Polly was ready with her Colts shirt...although it didn't stay on for very long.

And this was the view from my lap the entire first half of the game.

The Colts did not have a good first half, but came back and had an amazing finish to win the game.

After all the yelling, cheering and dancing ended, I sat down at the sewing maching and got back to work.  On Friday night I received a much anticipated package from Oakshott fabrics.  I ordered a fat eighth bundle of their newest line Lipari.

These handwoven fabrics are so gorgeous in person and they feel amazing as well.  I created a new paper piecing pattern and decided to cut into this fabric right away to make this.

The finished size is 24" square.  I haven't decided on a name for the pattern yet, but I just LOVE it in the Oakshott Lipari fabrics.

So, did you do anything fun this weekend?
