The two things (other than my faith) that fuel me and help to get my through my days are Sunshine and Sweet Tea. Even during the coldest days of winter, a little sunshine can completely change my outlook. This collection is a compilation of colors and florals that radiate summer and sunshine to me. My hope is that it will brighten the days of those who create with it as well.
Picadilly is the celebration of all things summer in America. Inspired by times spent at my Dadβs house on Picadilly Court in Indiana, including picnics, parades, barbecues, fireworks and family traditions. These prints will be perfect in your summer projects. Picadilly is also a great collection to use in Quilts of Valor to honor those who fought for our freedoms to enjoy lifeβs memory making events with the ones we love.
WInterland is inspired by the beauty and wonder of fresh fallen snow. The cardinals, birch trees, spruce twigs, snowflakes and holly berries create a magical winter wonderland that will have you ready to snuggle up while you watch the snow fall. In beautiful shades of deep red, teal, aqua and gray, this collection will be perfect for home decor that can stay out all winter long.
All of my life I've been a dreamer. My active imagination as a chile would fill my nights with wild, colorful and exciting dreams. Today I still find my thoughts drifting into daydreams when I'm particularly inspired. Dreams can be a powerful thing, planting the seeds of our future. Dream Weaver is inspired by the feathers, florals and weaving of traditional Native American dream catchers used to let the good dreams pass through and catch the bad dreams which would disappear at the first rays of morning light. Each morning you have two choices, either continue to sleep with your dreams or wake up and chase them.
One of the most magical creatures I've known was my great-grandmother, Fairy Edith Miller. Her name alone set her apart from the crowd, but the childlike wonder that she carried until her last day is what made her so special. Some of fondest memories from childhood are a result of spending time with her in the summers. From learning how to climb a tree in her backyard, feeding the ducks at the reservoir and watching her slide down the curly slide at the park. Another favorite memory is stopping along the road to pick wildflowers and Queen Anne's Lace that we would place in vases with water and food coloring, then be amazed as the tiny flowers started to change colors. And every time I smell a lilac, I'm instantly taken back to her backyard, filled with gorgeous, sweet smelling blossoms in the spring. On top of all of this, she also holds my first memories of quilting. Her tiny perfect hand stitches still amaze me to this day. This collection is my tribute to her in hopes to capture and pass down her magic for generations to come.
