Storm at Sea {a finished quilt!}

Meet my latest quilt, Storm at Sea! Storm at Sea

**Sorry for the poor photos.  The cloudy, snowy days have not been good for taking good quilt photos!

This is a paper pieced quilt pattern and I used some beautiful batiks in what I would call ocean shades.

This will be a wall-hanging (or table topper, depending on how the recipient wants to use it!)  The finished size is approximately 26" square.

With all of the small pieces and detail in the top, I decided to quilt in the ditch and add two straight "echo" lines in the border.  The backing was pieced from leftover scraps of fabric from the quilt top.  I also added a couple of hanging sleeves to two corners for easy hanging with a dowl rod.

Sas back

This was my last handmade Christmas gift, so now I just need to get everything wrapped and I should be ready to go!

How are your lists coming?

I'm linking up with Thanks Goodness It's Finished Friday and Amanda at Crazy Mom Quilts.
