Modern Mini Quilt Challenge

modern mini quilt 2013 button Jennifer at Ellison Lane is hosting a Modern Mini Quilt Challenge contest.  The point of this contest is to challenge yourself and try something new.   And according to the contest rules, a mini quilt can be a mug rug, mini quilt, pillow, table topper, etc. as long as it is between 6" x 6" and 24" x 24"in size.

So, I decided my entry in the contest will be the Kaleidoscope Pillow I made for the Pillow Talk Swap 10.

This block is certainly something new for me and I had to create a paper piecing pattern for the size I wanted.

It was also a bit of a stretch for me in fabric and color selection, but I couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out.
