Christmas Decor sewing

We are entering my favorite part of the year, Christmas time!!  I absolutely love decorating our home for the holidays and the cozy feeling it provides.  I hadn't planned on making new stockings this year, but when I saw these cute stocking kits for sale at Crimson Tate, I just HAD to get them. stocking kit

Of course we didn't need new stockings, but that didn't stop me :)  I mean look how awesome they turned out!  That Cotton & Steel Dottie fabric on the cuff is just perfect and those Charley Harper birds are one of my favorite fabrics of all time.

Here they are hanging on our mantle with care and awaiting Santa's arrival.  The fourth stocking is mine from childhood that we now use for our dog, Polly :)

Although that was an unplanned Christmas sewing craft, I have had a quilt design in my head for almost a year and finally put it into fabric over the weekend.  This is my O Christmas Tree wall-hanging in progress.  I love that it turned out as I had hoped (even if a bit wobbly and wonky), but I plan to quilt it into submission soon and hang it above the fireplace.

Are any of you doing any Christmas home decor sewing?  If so, please share...I love getting new ideas!

Amanda
