Tiffany Bracelets {a finished quilt and publication!!}
I'm so happy to finally be able to share my Tiffany Bracelets quilt with you!! It is in the current Love Patchwork & Quilting Issue 22 (on stands in the UK now and will be in the US in a few weeks).
I had been in discussions with Jenny, the editor of LPQ, about a two color quilt in Tiffany blue and white. We agreed that it needed to be something a bit different and modern. After browsing Tiffany & Co.'s website for inspiration (and an adorable retro animation they had at the time), I came up with the idea of a row quilt similar to stacked bracelets.
Although I may never receive anything sparkly from that infamous blue box...I have my own set of bracelets that is classic and timeless in its own right.
Given the variety of blocks in this quilt, I felt simple quilting would be best to just let the blocks shine on their own.
And I happened to find the perfect backing to add just the right amount of sparkle to my bracelets with the silver and aqua print from Windham Fabric's Sunshine Serenade line. I seem to have the best luck in finding awesome coordinating quilt backs lately! Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket :)
I have wanted a two color quilt in this combination for years. I'm so happy to have one in my own design, that makes it all the more special.
Are there any two color combination quilts you have been wanting to make? I'd love to hear them. Amanda
