Paper Obsessed Blog Tour
Hi all! Today is my day on the Paper Obsessed Blog Tour featuring Heather Givans' latest line for Windham Fabrics.
Aren't these paper themed fabrics the cutest? I think it would be so much fun to make a library tote bag out of the notebook paper print and embroider your name and some of your favorite book titles on the lines. The possibilities with these fabrics really are endless!
For quilt market, I played around with a old quilt sketch and came up with a new quilt called Spiral Bound. When piecing this quilt, I used just three prints from the Paper Obsessed line. The gray squares reminded me of the holes you get in your paper when it is removed from a spiral bound notebook...hence the name ;-)
Heather sent this one off to be quilted by the amazing Karlee Porter. She made this quilt come to life. I can stare at if forever and keep seeing new designs in the quilting.
Doesn't the gorgeous photo below by Eric Lubrick make you want to snuggle up under Spiral Bound? I love the shades of aqua in the envelope print especially with the random gray within that print and how it moves in this quilt. It's almost impossible to see in these photos, but the white print is actually the white on white paper airplanes...MY FAVORITE!!!
If you'd like to make your own Sprial Bound quilt, the pattern is available in my shop and includes instructions for 4 sizes.
Now...how would you like to win a fat quarter bundle of Paper Obsessed fabrics, a Correspondence Mini-Quilt Pattern, and some Crimson Tate swag? Just leave a comment below telling me what clever things you think would be awesome made in Paper Obsessed fabric. International readers are also encouraged to play along. A winner will randomly be chosen at the end of the tour on July 26.
