Carnival Diamonds {a finished quilt!}

Before I had my Dream Weaver fabric in hand, I wanted to test the Diamonds pattern using some solid fabrics. I visited my favorite local quilt shop, Crimson Tate, where they pushed me to try some colors that are out of my comfort zone. I’m so glad I listened to them!

I actually LOVE every one of these colors individually, but normally wouldn’t put them all together into one quilt :). Heather Givans and I agree that this color combo reminds us of Carnival in Brazil.

The fabrics are from FreeSpirit and are all Tula Pink Solids. The colors in this quilt are Cajun, Sapphire, Mojito, Persimmon and Cerulean. Crimson Tate has a TON of great solid fabrics to choose from if you’d like to make your own 5 color version of the Diamonds quilt.

It’s great to get out of your comfort zone every once in awhile. You sometimes find that it helps to make that comfort zone “grow” ;-)

The back of this quilt might be my favorite though…isn’t it a perfect coordinate for the front?

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda
