Charming Triangles Baby Quilt {FREE pattern using pre-cut 5" squares!!}

I love sewing with pre-cuts and charm packs are a great (and economical) option for obtaining all of the fabrics in an entire collection. I find that a lot of people buy pre-cuts for this reason, but then struggle with locating patterns to use them.

This Charming Triangles baby quilt is a great way to use up your pre-cut 5” squares for a quick and fun finish.

All you will need to make this quilt top are 1 print charm pack and 1 solid charm pack (plus 1/3 yard of fabric for borders if you’d like to add them). The finished size of the Charming Triangles quilt is 40” square if you add the border (or 36” without the border).

Another great thing about this pattern is that since it is made up of only half square triangles, there are numerous layout options to choose from, some of which are shared below.

STRIPES LAYOUT

CHEVRON LAYOUT

PINWHEEL LAYOUT

HERRINGBONE LAYOUT

The fabric I chose for this quilt is a new collection by Denna Rutter for Riley Blake Designs called Nice Ice Baby and will be in shops this month!! Here is a link to the 5” stacker and yardage for this collection if you are interested.

Those polar bears and narwhals are so cute!!

A video tutorial for the Charming Triangles baby quilt can be found below and if you’d like to download a printable pattern, you can find that here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
