A Christmas Prairie Quilt

I did some selfish sewing the last couple of weeks and made myself a new Christmas quilt using some out of print fat quarters from Kate Spain’s Christmas collections, mixed with a couple of my own prints from Winterland.

The pattern I used was my Prairie quilt that I made last fall and then quickly gifted to a friend. I’ve adored this pattern since that day and decided to make one for myself. Using the sweet Christmas prints makes me love it even more.

I found the absolute perfect backing fabric from a current collection called Christmas Squad and designed by Mia Charro for Free Spirit Fabrics. Isn’t it just adorable?!?!

I love all of the different, non-traditional, Christmas shades in this quilt. It goes well in my living room and it’s some of my favorite colors.

For the binding, I used a red gingham print from my Winterland collection and it’s like the cherry on top!

So happy to have this done and we were already snuggling under it over the weekend.

There is another Christmas quilt that I found that I’d love to make, but that might have to wait until next Christmas! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

xoxo Amanda
