I have to admit, sewing hasn't been at the top of my list this week (although I really wanted to...just not enough hours in the day!) With the crazy hot and dry weather we're having in Indiana, I've been doing much more of this instead...

I've also been working on re-doing my sewing room. It has been in our sunroom for a few years now, but I've only been using a little "alcove" of the room. This has been wonderful, but I was back in the corner and away from all of our windows! So I sweet talked my husband into letting me get rid of the sofa that was taking up a lot of space and putting in a bigger sewing table (reclaimed dining room table bought off of Craigslist). I'm still in the midst of this re-do, but thought I would share the new rug I purchased for the space...I LOVE IT!!!

I am currently 1/3 of the way done with repainting the walls which were a terra cotta color before (clearly that won't work with my new rug!) It's been fun to make the change and of course the best part is all of the room I have now. I feel like I have my own sewing studio :) Yep, I'm one lucky lady.

I have done a little sewing this week and here is a snapshot of the results. It is just a teaser, but I promise to be back this weekend with details and even a tutorial!
