Paper pieced alphabet pattern

Happy Tuesday all!  I just wanted to share a new pattern with you today.  Last fall I was a tester for Diane Bohn of From Blank Pages new "My First Alphabet" paper pieced pattern.  These letters are great, easy to read and finish at 3", so perfect for smaller projects. I decided to use the letters to create a new hot pad that would fit underneath a 9" x 13" baking dish.  It seems all of my others just weren't big enough.

This was a quick and fun project and I loved the way it turned out.

The pattern is easy to use and understand, especially if you have experience with paper piecing.  If you don't, she includes a link with basic paper piecing instructions.

I didn't realize until this was done that I forgot the bottom two pieces on the U that would have made it curved instead of squared off, but I certainly wasn't worried about it at that point!  Honestly, if I didn't point it out, I'm guessing most wouldn't even notice.

Another pattern tester for Diane was Heidi Staples of Fabric Mutt, and I just L.O.V.E her Notions bag.

Isn't it adorable?!  I'm certain I need one of these!

You can purchase Diane's "My First Alphabet" pattern from her Craftsy or Etsy shops.

So, what would you make with these letters?
