Pillow Talk Swap 10 {pillow complete!}

After a lot of stalking of my Pillow Talk Swap partner and their "favorite" photos, I finally came up with a design and fabrics that I hope she will love.  This is my first swap, so I was kind of nervous before I made my decision.  You should see some of the AMAZING pillows made for this swap (click here to view some photos).  These women are just crazy talented!!

My partner said she loves Essex linen, so I went with that for a background and used a variety of Kona solids to create this Kaleidoscope Pillow.

With so many colors, I think this turned out bright and cheery even with the dark background.

I decided to quilt only on the background diamonds hoping that it would make the colorful kaleidoscopes pop.

For the back I continued with the Essex linen and created a simple envelope closure.

I sure hope my partner likes it! I kind of fell in love with it as it was coming together, so I guess if she doesn't, she can always send it back...I'm sure it would be happy to live in our home ;-)
