Modern Tote {a happy finish!}

I finished this last week and almost forgot to post it on here!  I've used this tote every day since I finished it.  It is the perfect size for me (especially the straps).  I absolutely love this bag and the awesome texture that was created with the quilting.  My husband says "it's colorful!", and he's right.  I guess that also means it's safe from being used by the fellas in the house :) Doesn't it look so cute and cheerful sitting in my sewing chair in front of my pretty threads?!

The pattern was great and easy to follow, but I felt like it needed a bit more instruction on the finishing of the bag (securing the straps, how far down to put the lining and stitch etc.  I figured it out pretty well by the photos, but I'm afraid a new sewer wouldn't be so lucky.

Here it is once I had the two panels pieced together and laying on top of the lining fabric.  Isn't is just perfect with this collection of solids?

Overall it was a fun, quick finish and just what I needed.
