Night Hike fabric {and two completed quilts!!}

By now you probably all know my friend Heather Givans of Crimson Tate, and how much I love to sew with her fabrics. :)  Well, let me tell you, her latest collection, Night Hike, is my FAVORITE!  Windham Fabrics is showing this collection to quilt shops now and it will arrive in stores by April.  Check it out below and to see some really awesome projects made with Night Hike, click here to find the lookbook.

Around Thanksgiving I was able to make two small quilts using Night Hike fabric.  The first was by special request from Heather, using my O'Christmas Tree pattern.  I mixed the low volume and green prints from her collection with some of Windham's artisan cottons.  I think the mix looks great together and this tree pattern was the perfect choice for these fabrics.

For the second quilt I made a baby size version of my Modern Puzzle pattern.  We chose a sweet and soft palette from the Night Hike fabrics to make this perfect for a baby.  Looking at these two quilts by themselves, you'd never guess they were from the same fabric collection!  My absolute favorite print is the lightning bugs on the back of the baby quilt.  It also has some metallic silver mixed in which makes it extra special.

If you like this collection as much as I do, tell your favorite quilt shop to order some!  If you'd like to make either of these quilts, you can find the patterns in my shop.
