Dream Weaver {a new fabric collection}

All of my life I’ve been a dreamer. My active imagination as a child would fill my nights with wild, colorful and exciting dreams. Today I still find my thoughts drifting into daydreams when I feel particularly inspired. Dreams can be a powerful thing, planting the seeds of our future. My latest fabric collection, Dream Weaver, is inspired by the feathers, florals and weaving of traditional Native American dream catchers used to let the good dreams pass through and catch the bad dreams that would disappear at the first rays of morning light.

The below photos show the six different prints and colorways of the collection. The large bohemian style floral is accented by feathers, text, diamonds, spirographs and a weave texture. Of course it includes shades of blues and teals, just in more earthy tones than my last collection. The terra cotta color is a perfect accent, but the addition of a butter yellow is what I love the most :)

Dream Weaver will be shipping to stores in January 2020 and some online shops already have it listed for pre-sale.

I showcased this new collection at quilt market last month in Houston. Below are some photos of the projects I’ve made to date using Dream Weaver. First up is Spiral Bound (pattern available here).

Below you can see some of the prints in more detail. I am in love with the diamonds on the back!!

Next up is a herringbone quilt that I think is such a great pattern to showcase this collection! I used my friend, Melanie’s wonderful tutorial to piece this quilt.

For the quilting, I did simple straight lines, but used a contrasting terra cotta color for a fun pop.

And my new favorite quilt is Radiance. The pattern for this quilt will be available next month and will include two size options (36” square and 70” square). When I sketched this quilt, it reminded me of a barn quilt pattern, so I wanted to include a smaller size option in case someone wanted to create their own barn style quilt to hang on the wall in their home.

Once I pieced the top, I sent it off to Teresa for quilting and she knocked it out of the park! The below photo shows just how amazing her quilting skills are. The ruler work is my favorite part.

And here are some photos of my booth at quilt market with Riley Blake Designs. The above quilts are included as well as a Ripple baby quilt that is on the floor sticking out of the teepee. The top on the mannequin is the Key Largo top by Hey June patterns. I made the crossbody clutch by following this tutorial by Montoya Mayo. It was great and easy to follow.

You may also note that I matched my booth (at least on the first day of market). What can I say…I love these colors! I didn’t go out and purchase that sweater for market, it’s been in my closet for at least a year :)

I want to say a special thank you to my husband and son who traveled to Texas with me for a vacation that was shortened a bit so we could set up my booth and I could attend market. They were also able to see a glimpse of what this industry is like on the inside and why I love it so much.

As a closing note, I’d like to remind you all that each morning you have two choices, either continue to sleep with your dreams, or wake up and chase them.

Amanda
