Sweetheart Valentine Placemats {a free pattern!!}

From the moment I saw this Love Letters collection by Lindsay Wilkes (The Cottage Mama), I was smitten. These sweet vintage prints are just too cute. I’m not usually one for hearts in quilts, but I do love to change out our placemats for the seasons and knew these fabrics would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.

The main print in the collection showcases the cutest vintage Valentine illustrations. I chose two colors to use for the back of the placemats.

And you simply can’t go wrong with a red and white diagonal stripe for binding!

Now, if we’re eating something really messy, I’ll probably ask they guys to flip their mats over to the back side ;-) I’m certain the white fabric will get stains, but that’s what the washing machine and stain remover are for!

If you’d like to make some Sweetheart Valentine Placemats of your own, you can find the free pattern by clicking here.
