Brick House {a flannel fat quarter quilt!}

After I shared the tutorial for my Brick House quilt a little over a week ago, one of my YouTube followers (FranSak) mentioned how great it would look in flannels and I IMMEDIATELY headed to my favorite local quilt shop to purchase one of their flannel fat quarter bundles!

She was oh so right! This is the absolute coziest quilt we have in our house now. Crimson Tate carries the highest quality flannel fabrics and snuggling under the weight and softness of this quilt put me right to sleep on the couch last night :)

This particular bundle was all blues, greens and grays (which is so very me), but I think it would look amazing in fall colored flannels like yellow, rust, orange, red, etc.

I tried to keep the quilting a bit less dense again to maintain the soft and snuggly features of the flannel fabric. The quilting pattern used is called Rolling Along.

The above photo shows a sneak peek at the backing and binding fabric which are also flannels from Crimson Tate. I know that some people like to cut their binding between 2-2 1/4” wide, however if you make an all flannel quilt like this, I suggest cutting the strips at 2 1/2” wide because of the bulk with the thicker fabric layers.

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo Amanda
