Finally finished 2021 Temperature Quilt!!

If you recall, I finished my 2021 Temperature Quilt top in January and this beauty was waiting while I shopped around for just the right backing fabric.

I’m so glad I held out for the perfect backing, because I finally found it in this Anna Maria Horner Echinacea Glow print (color is Algae). Isn’t is gorgeous?!?!

I was able to get outside this morning during the beautiful golden hour to take some photos. Get ready for a lot of eye candy!

I love the texture of this quilt. The quilting is a crosshatch done with wavy lines instead of straight and it creates such beautiful movement across the quilt.

If you are local to central Indiana, I sent this quilt to Heather Alexander (@handmade2001 on Instagram) for the longarm quilting and she did a fabulous job! She will also accept mail in quilts for those who aren’t located in the Indy area.

As a reminder - if you’d like the details on my plan and how I went about constructing this temperature quilt, check out this blog post and a few more details can be found here.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Amanda
