Hexaround {a FREE jelly roll quilt pattern!!}

I’m excited to share a new quilt tutorial with you called Hexaround. I just love this quilt!!! It is made with jelly rolls (pre-cut 2 1/2” strips) and the fabric I chose is called Frankie, by one of my favorite designers Basic Grey.

You will need a total of 72 jelly roll strips to make this quilt that finishes at a great throw size of 60” x 64”. The piecing of this quilt requires NO Y-SEAMS and comes together pretty quickly. It’s a great pattern for beginner and advanced quilters alike.

The colors in this collection are vibrant and fun. I especially love the black floral that I used on the backing (and a fun black and white text print for the binding!)

The fun hexagon style print found in this collection was the inspiration for the quilt design. Hexagons have always been a favorite for me.

I decided that this pattern and fabric combo deserved a funky quilting pattern, so I asked my friend Heather (@handmade2001) to use one called Late Night. Isn’t it perfect?!?

If you’d like to make a Hexaround quilt of your own, check out my tutorial below and you can find the printable pattern here.

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo Amanda
