Crossroads Quilt {a fat quarter friendly pattern!}

Crossroads quilt by Amanda Castor of Material Girl Quilts

This month’s quilt pattern is one I’ve had on my list to make for some time now. I just love this block and think this pattern would look great in just about any fabric. The Crossroads quilt is a fat quarter friendly pattern and easily adjusted to fit the size you need.

This particular version is the throw size that finishes at 58” x 72” and the fabric I used is one of my new favorites called Little Swan. I adore the swan, firefly and tiny floral prints. The colors in this collection are beautiful as well.

I decided to do some simple crosshatch quilting (perfect for the Crossroads pattern if you ask me!). I love the texture it creates and it’s a nice classic touch to finish off this quilt.

The PDF pattern for this quilt (available to Material Girl Sewciety members) includes instructions for four sizes:

  • Baby - 44” square

  • Lap - 44” x 58”

  • Throw - 58” x 72”

  • Queen - 86” square

I’m thinking of creating another version of this quilt using only bright solid fabrics. Wouldn’t that be cute?
