Firefly Hexaround Quilt

I finally finished quilting up my second Hexaround quilt that I pieced during the quilt along and I’m in love! The rich colors in this Firefly fabric collection play so well together. The addition of some gold metallic on several prints takes it the the next level.

Pinks and purples aren’t my favorite colors, but mixed in with teals, blacks and grays they look fantastic! All of these colors are perfect from my friend who celebrated a birthday this past weekend and she was thrilled to receive this beauty to snuggle with during the winter.

I chose the cubism pantograph for the quilting and love how much texture it adds to the quilt.

It was so fun to see everyone else’s versions of the Hexaround quilt during the quilt along. They all turned out beautifully. It really is a fantastic pattern for any type of fabric.

I chose the same gray/black firefly print for the backing and binding. Aren’t those gold sparkles just perfect?!?

Now it’s time to think about what quilt pattern to choose for another quilt along next year.

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda
