Modern Panel Quilt {a quick & easy quilt tutorial!}

I have had this Lake Tahoe panel in my stash for a few years now and have FINALLY put it to use in this beautiful quilt. In the past I have seen many beautiful quilt panels, but never really knew what I would do with them. The Destinations panels that Riley Blake came out with were just too good for me to pass up. I have always loved the artwork of Anderson Design Group and have purchased their national parks wall calendars to hang in our kitchen for years now. When I saw this artwork on quilt panels - it was like a dream come true!

My husband and I have visited Lake Tahoe and it’s a gorgeous place. We hope to go again soon, but this quilt brings back fun memories from our initial trip.

For the quilting I chose this beautiful Malachite digital pantograph (downsized a bit) to create lots of texture. I don’t think you could ever go wrong with this quilt design.

This quilt pattern can easily be adjusted to fit the size of your quilt panel. Below is a sketch for another Destinations panel of Nashville that I’m planning to complete soon.

In the video tutorial linked below, I share a few other quilt panel sketches using this pattern to show that it really does look great with anything! Hopefully now you will be inspired to purchase that adorable quilt panel you’ve been eyeing and make it into something you can snuggle with and admire every day.
