Star Flower Quilt Tutorial

Now that spring is finally here, the temperatures are rising and the sun is shining a bit more, it has been a joy to sew with my Sunshine and Sweet Tea fabric. For this quilt, I chose two of the “sunniest” prints I could get from the collection and I love how it turned out.

Those sweet honey bees just make me smile. I also just LOVE the multi colored dots in the background print. They are small enough not to be overpowering and just add a nice little element to make the quilt less “flat”.

I haven’t yet decided if this will be a table topper in our kitchen or if I’ll hang it on the wall somewhere in my house (likely my sewing room). What do you think?

For the quilting on this one, I used an expanded zig zag stitch in a crosshatch pattern and love the soft texture it creates.
