Succulents Shelf {a finished quilt!}

My dear friend, Heather Givans, of Crimson Tate has her very own fabric line being launched at Quilt Market this month.  How exciting is that?!  This is the first (of most likely many) fabric lines for Heather and I think she knocked it out of the park.  Below are a number of the prints from her line called "Succulents".  You can see the entire collection over on Windham Fabric's website here. fabric

fabric 2She asked a few of us if we wanted to come up with a design using this gorgeous fabric for her booth at quilt market.  I of course screamed "YES!"  And here is my contribution...Succulents Shelf.

Succulents ShelfI just wasn't coming up with a large quilt design to showcase these fabrics that I loved, so instead went with something small.

Succulents detailThese paper pieced succulents were a lot of fun to make and so cute to put together into a fun wall hanging quilt.  I'm planning to share patterns for each of these succulent pots soon.

SucculentsCheck out the back, isn't is just perfect for this quilt?  I love this print and the text gives instructions on caring for succulents...perfect!  The colors in this entire line work so fabulously together and I love how they are a bit bold, yet subdued.

Succulents backBelow are two of my favorite prints from the Succulents line...SO CUTE!  I also can't imagine how amazing it must feel to have your name on the selvage of such a gorgeous collection of fabric.  Kudos Heather!  I'm so proud of you and beyond excited for what your future holds :)
